SALES REPRESENTATIVE - MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES
- NIGERIA
SCOPE OF WORK
This position is a key link to Nigerian markets. As
the market professional, the Sales Representative is
responsible for leading and facilitating all contact
with key and target customers. Focused primarily on
medical and health sector.
The position aggressively explores all market
aspects, interprets and implements action plans to
capitalize on and differentiate our company’s
competitive advantage. Accurately interpreting the
market and successfully positioning the Company will
result in securing new revenue streams and maximizing
revenue opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Specifically, your responsibilities will include, but
not limited to the following.
Revenue Management
• Identifies pricing levels and opportunities.
• Ensures that the full value of the Company’s
products and related services is presented to key and
target customers.
• Monitors activity levels and revenues from
customers, and reports on performance.
• Works with the business unit managers to maximize
the utilization of the Company’s facilities.
Customer Management
• Manages the relationship with key and target
customers.
• Establishes contract terms and conditions with key
and target customers.
• Identifies and proposes new services to key and
target customers to expand the Company’s business.
• Reports on customer satisfaction and concerns.
• Co-ordinates with management throughout the
Company to expand and improve relationships with key
and target customers.
• Possesses the ability to create incremental sales
volume opportunity (work with distributors, sales and
customer base).
Brand Presentation / Product Knowledge
• Differentiates the Company’s products to key and
target customers.
• Provides technical product knowledge support to
key customers in ways that establishes and maintains
the integrity of the Brand, product performance,
quality and presentation.
• Understands the Company’s business, its industry
and operations to clearly articulate the key features
and benefits.
Market Intelligence
• Provides comprehensive market reports that clearly
presents business opportunities, critical success
factors and market expectations.
• Consolidates and analyzes customer intelligence
and competitor activities.
• Provides reports on customer and competitor
initiatives in the market.
• Identifies key and target customers and develops a
plan for approval, and implements and reports on
progress.
• Gathers and communicates information on
competitors and presents specific competitor
strategies.
• Executes the competitor strategy and reports on
progress.
• Possesses the ability to develop new distribution
channels, while maintaining balance with existing
channels.
Communications / Reporting
• Communicates with operations management to enhance
awareness of, and responsiveness to, customers.
• Reports regularly on issues effecting customers
through concise analysis with recommendations.
• Possesses the ability to build, present and
execute business plans related to the area of
responsibility.
CANDIDATE
PROFILE
The ideal candidate will possess:
• strong knowledge of the medical products business,
coupled with proven sales experience;
• strong communication skills with the ability to
converse with both corporate and field staff to
“open doors and close sales”;
• the ability to act independently, but also able to
work with others for the benefit of the company;
• confidence in your ability to gain and compete for
business;
• an understanding of the importance of
relationships and relationship marketing; and,
• a strong desire to be part of a team.
